Dr. Giselle Bayard, LMFT
Dr. Giselle Bayard is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University and is a member of several professional affiliations.
Dr. Bayard’s therapeutic orientation consists of working with individuals and families from a systemic framework. She believes that problems do not reside within the individual, but rather in relation to how the person is coping with stressors in life. Her therapeutic interventions consist of a holistic approach. Utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy techniques with an emphasis on finding collaborative solutions, Dr. Bayard works with each person at a comfortable pace. She provides a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental environment where clients could talk openly in a relaxed atmosphere.
Dr. Bayard is passionate about cultural competence and diversity training for therapists. She trains clinicians on cultural competence and recently published on this topic in the International Journal for Solution Focused Practitioners.
Dr. Bayard is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida, and as an active contributor to the field of Marriage & Family Therapy. Dr. Bayard has presented at local, national, and international conferences. Dr. Bayard has also served as adjunct faculty for Nova Southeastern University, Northcentral University and University of Phoenix.
