Michele DiSorbo, LMHC
Michele DiSorbo is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience in providing counseling and coaching. She is also a Certified Mind-Body Medicine/Wellness Practitioner, a Certified NLP Practitioner and Coach, as well as a Certified Time Line Therapy Coach. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Stetson University. She is able to successfully relate to a wide-range clients and presenting issues with an extensive background in child welfare, trauma and behavioral health recovery. Her clinical practice is Informed by Mind-Body Medicine and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), thus she is able to empower others to reach their highest potential by developing an effective self-care plan and beginning to releasing limiting beliefs, one-time traumatic events, and negative thoughts/emotions. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and their families, as well as young adults transitioning into independent “adulting”.
She also works with men and women who want to address their limited beliefs that prevent them from living their best life of passion, purpose, peace and prosperity. She offers a holistic approach to addressing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, stress management, burnout, career issues, parenting and relationship challenges and life changes. She is committed to providing a safe space of inclusion, dignity, respect and empowerment, as she works with clients from diverse cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, childhood experiences and with varying sexual identities.
Michele utilizes an array of therapeutic techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Time Line Therapy. She also provides individual mind-body wellness coaching and skills groups, when scheduling allows.
